It all started on Christmas Eve. We had loud blowing wind from just before midnight, and this is what we woke up to on Christmas morning. We were actually awakened three times; 2:30 am, 4:00 am, and 5:00 am, because the wind was so strong it rang our doorbell. It is very loud!
When we opened the front door, this was our view.
Rex had to try out his new snowshoes in the back yard.
At 1:00 pm, we decided we had better start shoveling. It took us three hours to clear the driveway, using both of us with our shoveles, and the snow blower. It was too deep for the snow blower at first.
This is what it looked liked by 6:00 pm. We had to shovel another 6 inches between 8:00 pm and 9:30 pm., so we could get out and attend the Temple on the 26th.
We did get to talk to everyone, but it was the first time in 41 years that Rex and I spent Christmas alone.
