This is the quilt that I had Barbara Jones (a cousin to Dad) make for me. She started it two years ago and has worked on it part-time. She finished it just 3 hours before the Malad Quilt Show Saturday. It is bigger than king size. She still has to make the pillow shams. The dresden plate design is from material that a lady in our ward gave me over 40 years ago. She said the material at that time was over 50 years old. All the white and purple parts are new. Isn't it beautiful?

That is so beautiful! I'm sure that it's nice to finally see all of that fabric being used. Was that explanation (of how old the fabric is) part of the exhibit at the fair? That makes it all the more amazing!
No, they were just on display. But it was a relief on my conscious to know I finally did something with the pieces.
Love it! That lady is dedicated not to mention very talented. How nice that must feel to finally see it come to fruition.
Grandma,
That is a pretty quilt.

Good job Livia!
