This was our program and Invitation to Christmas Eve.
Christmas Eve at Lee and Lara's house started with a great game of Christmas Pictionary. We played that game for almost an hour because it was so much fun. Even the younger ones were good little artists.
The cousins exchanged gifts and they were all very happy with their gifts.
We had so much food . . .we all had left-overs for Christmas Day. That was great. Not having to cook the next day . . .made my day! Ham (Papa&Grammie) and cheesy potatoes (by Cheryl)were the main course, with a great green salad with Gorgonzola cheese and pomegranates (Lara), and a yummy multicolored and flavored jello salad(Cheryl), rolls (Lara), and of course tons of sweets (All).
The tradition of new P.J.'s on Christmas Eve was still in force. All nine of the grandchildren posed with theirs on. Maybe the adults will get new Jammie's next year too.
We had a wonderful program that included several of the grandchildren telling or drawing about what they liked the most about Christmas. In Tess' presentation the story of Christ's birth was the main focus.
Tayli shared a couple of Christmas carols with us.
Emma gave a cute poem.
Ella, sorry she is out of focus, also drew a picture of the nativity and explained it very well too.
Ben shared a project he made at school about the way other countries celebrate Christmas.
Cheryl read the Luke 2 account of Christ's Birth from the Bible
Eva drew a picture of the nativity and told us about it.
I didn't get a picture of Lee, but he sang a couple of songs for us. And Papa and I were asked to tell about our most memorable Christmas when we were young.
We all had a wonderful evening. The only thing missing was Eric and Julie's family, and we all missed them.

Yes, we definitely missed Eric and Julie and the fam! I think it would have been a near perfect night had they been there. thanks for adding to the spirit of the evening with your memorable experiences. I only wish we would have video taped you. I could kick myself for not doing that.
*sniffle* There are definitely days that we feel so far away!! Sounds like a perfect night!
